Time to ditch local councils
Dear editor - I have received my council tax bill and while it was not the most pleasant letter I have ever received, it was a lot less than I would be paying in many other parts of Wales.
I also see that town and community councils in Pembrokeshire are demanding £1,233,204 this coming year. Unbelievable.
Think what that sum could achieve for Pembrokeshire if put together and spent by one single body.
What are the benefits of taking this amount of money out of our pockets?
Surely what we should do this May is not elect another lot of councillors to waste our money but get rid of the out of date and out of touch town and community councils.
